Long-Term Rental

Machines on long-term contract are often modified to suit Individual site requirements. This includes such features as having the body capacity increased for materials,special tyre combinations to reduce wear, ventilation kits fitted for hot environments and body liners for working with abrasive material. We buy machines new and generally run them up to a maximum of three years. The general rental fleet comes supplied to a high specification so that many different sites, customers and applications can be catered for.

Around 50% of our fleet is currently engaged on long-term fixed cost contracts where machines are supplied, serviced and maintained by us.

Our Equipment

We have an exceptionally young and performant fleet of excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, graders, etc. that are up to every challenge. In the Ghana as at 2020 we own 73 earthmoving equipment in our range.

In addition, we have more than 130 trucks, bulldozers, shovels, cranes, etc. at our disposal through our international OEM partner network.

Dewatering Plants (7)
operations accumulate water from groundwater ingress, surface run-off and rainfall. A sump must be maintained at the lowest point in excavation for the collection of water and to facilitate pumping.

Service & Lube Trucks (3)
Our Mobile equipment, such as loaders and dozers, are normally fuelled and serviced in the field, while trucks often travel to a central fuelling point at the end of a shift. When the machines are worked on single shift, fuelling and servicing is done at the end of the shift. On multiple shifts, servicing will be undertaken during the productive shift. Meal breaks and shift changeovers are used, as far as possible, to minimise downtime. Servicing involves checking and topping up hydraulic and lubricating oils, greasing, cleaning and changing filters, adding air to tyres and carrying out preventative maintenance.

Two people operating from a wellequipped service truck can complete the average mobile equipment service in about 20 minutes. Refuelling in the field is undertaken from fuel tankers, equipped with pumps that deliver about 5 L/s of fuel. Thus, with extra tasks such as connecting and disconnecting hoses and caps, a machine requiring 500 L of fuel can normally be refuelled in about five minutes. Tyres often have to be replaced in the field and, unless a custom tyre-changing facility is close at hand, this can best be accomplished with our servicing truck. Our well-equipped tyre truck comprises a large tray body enough to hold heavy duty tires hydraulic crane and a compressor.

Lighting Towers (14)
We provide all necessary lighting for our plant/loading,discharge and low visibility routes.Many factors are involved in determining the number and location of lights. The most important factor is the type of work undertaken, and hence the intensity of light required and the area to be illuminated. On an area of relatively low level illumination, such as a haul road, one 1000 W tungsten halogen lamp should illuminate about 0.25 ha. The same wattage high-pressure sodium lamps would cover about 0.75 ha. However, areas of high activity could require more than ten times this illumination level.
